  • Insights: Tracks company's ratings across the PowerListings Network
  • Yext Analytics: Provides analytical tools and feedback on a company's data on the PowerListings Network

Pricing

Yext generates revenues by selling cloud subscriptions to its Yext Knowledge Engine. As of 2017, Yext offers pricing based on number of locations and offers 1) Base: $150/location/year 2) Starter $350/location/year 3) Professional $500/location/year and 4) Ultimate $900/location/year. Yext charges an additional $150/location/year for the Pages feature.

History

Yext was founded in 2006 by Howard Lerman, Brian Distelburger, and Brent Metz. Yext started as a local advertising company. It then pivoted towards managing location data and moved into reviewed. The company’s name is meant to invoke “next Yellow Pages.”

The company launched its Listings feature in 2011, which allows customers to manage their listings from 100+ third-party customers. In 2014, the company launched its Pages feature, which enables customers to manage pages on third-party sites and apps

In 20016, the company announced its Reviews feature, which lets businesses encourage their customers to leave reviews on third-party websites such as Yelp and Google

Howard Lerman (CEO): Howard Lerman serves as CEO and co-founder since 2006. He is also co-founder of Confide, an electronic messaging service.
